Dear Reader,
Please be our guest at the 2010 biennial county convention and municipal caucuses. The details are below regarding the times.
This year we are hosting, during the convention, a panel of Republican gubernatorial candidates beginning at 1 p.m. followed by brief statements from the Congressional candidate(s) as well as our local candidates for the state senate, state house, county commissioner, county sheriff, Judge of Probate and District Attorney.
At about 3 p.m., we will break into individual town (and city) caucuses which will be visited by our local candidates. I have asked the candidates for governor and Congress to respect the towns and not circulate during the caucus period. However, be assured they will be there before and after to answer any questions you might have of their candidacy, their positions on a wide ranging number of topics and (politely) request your financial support for their campaigns.
I do ask that those attending the town caucuses to please bring your checkbooks. I make that request for two reasons: (1) those who wish to attend the 2010 Maine Republican Convention on May 7-8 will need to make a payment of $25 for the priviledge and (2) our clean election candidates will be requesting $5 checks ($10 for a couple with a joint account) for the Maine Clean Election Fund. Through your cooperation, our candidates will be able to complete their obligations in a timely manner.
Sincerely,
Bill Chapman, Chair
Knox County Republican Committee
